Chaofan Wang was born at the end of 2000 in Xi'an China. He began to learn violin at the age of 6 and a half. He has studied with Zhang Ti, Salt Lin, Oleg Kaskiv, Maxim Vengerov, Renaud Capuçon and others.
He was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School with the 1st place in 2014 and became the concertmaster of the China Youth Chamber Orchestra.
In 2015 he won the 2nd prize of the Scholarship Instrumental Music Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.
In 2016, as the youngest violinist, he participated in the Italian LIPIZER International Violin Competition and won the Minerva Special Award - the best interpreter of SIVORI Caprice.
One year later, he attended the morning star music bridge in Boston, USA and was selected as the concertmaster of Four Seasons Chamber Orchestra.
In 2018,He was chosen by the Seiji Ozawa Chamber Orchestra. In the same year, His team Won the 1st Prize of the Scholarship Instrumental Music Competition and he won a full scholarship to study at the International Menuhin Music Academy (IMMA).
After entering the IMMA, he performed many concerts in the IMMA Camerata string Orchestra both as a member and a soloist, performing in many places including Rolle, Basel, Gstaad, Geneva and other cities, and also including other countries such as Switzerland, France, Monaco and Montenegro.
In 2019, he won the third prize in the 38th LIPIZER International Violin Competition.
He also wrote cadenzas for some Mozart violin concertos. Renaud Capuçon likes the cadenza he wrote for the Mozart 5th Concerto. Oleg also commissioned him to write cadenzas for the Beethoven Concerto.
